Mekaila Oaks is a Seattle-based writer and content marketer at Redfin. After graduating from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business, she joined Redfin in early 2019. 

Now with nearly seven years of experience in the real estate space, she specializes in breaking down complex housing topics to help home buyers navigate one of life’s biggest decisions with confidence. Mekaila focuses on making real estate feel approachable -- whether someone is buying their first home, comparing market trends, or trying to understand the nuances of financing and affordability.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring Seattle’s restaurant scene, getting lost in a good book, and traveling to new places whenever she can. She’s either on the hunt for cozy coffee shops or catching a last-minute flight for a spontaneous weekend trip.
